Translating "E to Bun" while on the job = win. X3

Etsu's "Well! I Guess I'll Write!" (1)

At last, the advent of summer! Connected by 大海 I, Oomi Ako or Etsu, have been passed the baton by Natsu Hiromi. (2) Starting this month, please keep me company for the next three months.♥ Please remember me~. So, leaving the formalities at that... "Well! I Guess I'll Write!"

Currently Soragumi is right in the middle of rehearsals for our Grand Theater performance. In the midst of everyone being frantic, of course there isn't much material. What to do [swirl emoticon] Then by chance Aoi-chin (Mikaze Maira) came by and just as she asked, "No material?" I said, "You're perfect, so there's nothing!" And yet~~~ that very person did something for me [to write about]. ^__^

* An Incident During Choreography

Aoi-chin was following the sensei who was doing choreography for us. At that moment, her back gave out or something and she beautifully fell to the floor. Whaat~! :O After that Aoi-chin began to dislike the choreography, so the sensei asked her "Do you think there's a better move?" As Aoi-chin was thinking "Ehh!?", the sensei again asked her a question. "Well then, what's the step you're most likely to fall on?" Hey~~ sensei was being mean (laughs). Aoi-chin, it would've been nice to change the choreography so you wouldn't fall, huh? ;-D But things can't go "happily ever after". :D After that we got to rest from choreography, and when we went to the break room Aoi-chin said "Wanna drink some juice?" There are lots of different fruit juices. To my question, "What kind of juice is this red one?" Aoi-chin replied, "I not think it's strawberry." Whaat~! :O "Not think"... (3) Yeah, that's so like her. Even while saying she's perfect, her incorrect meaning was perfect (laughs). I always like to have my upperclassman from Osaka with me. Really, a lot♥

* An Incident at the Still Photo Shoot (4)

It was the day that Yukigumi was rehearsing the shinjin kouen on stage, so as we were putting on our make-up we could hear songs from Elisabeth through the monitor. At first everyone just listened, but there was one person who couldn't take it! That person was my batchmate Eriko (Nanaho Hikaru). And yet it wasn't Der Tod, but Elisabeth's "Watashi Dake ni" that she sang with great passion [microphone emoticon] Whaat~! :O From there, Eriko was 'on stage'. One after the other, from musumeyaku to otokoyaku, Eriko sang the songs for various characters without stopping. "I can sing everyone's songs! I love them~~ I want to be in [Elisabeth]~~!!", Eriko cried. I understand~~~ that feeling. I wanna play Madame Wolf~~. So I tried asking around.

* Which role in Elisabeth do you want to play?

Chiyako (Kazari Jin): "Young Rudolf! But Kimiko (Yakumo Mika) seriously said that Elisabeth would suit me."

Heh... heehhh...

Miki (Otono Izumi): "Sophie~! But even though I can stay awake until 5:00AM, I can't get up at 5:00, so I couldn't wake up Elisabeth..." [big sweatdrop]

Yeah...

Masami (Miwa Asahi): After thinking very hard - "Lucheni! I want to try wearing a mustache."

Ohh~ But if that's the case, would someone besides Lucheni be okay too? XD;;

Masako (Toki Irisu): "Elisabeth!! I want to try wearing that beautiful white dress."

♪ That's impossible ♪ by Papa (5)

Michiko-san (Hokushou Kairi): "Windisch. I want to try singing intervals that normally seem difficult [to sing]."

I see~~.

Tomo-san (Yuumi Hiro): "Lucheni!! If you're talking about manly, he's the one!"

I agree ["OK" sign]

Mayu-san (Ranju Tomu): "Der Tod!! I got to be him in the shinjin kouen, but I think if I could do it again now I could show a different side of myself."

It would be good study [for me / you].

Ume (Hizuki Hana): "A patient in the hospital scene."

. . .

Tani-san (Yamato Yuuga): "Eh~!? Elisabeth!"
Me: "Tani-san, you're the same as Masako!" ^__^
Tani: "Really!? A rival!?"◊◊

Too bad, Masako. You can't win with Tani-san as your opponent. [tear emoticon] Ah! That one - Madeline! A comment from Masako on this suggestion.

"It's useless; I couldn't fit in the bathtub."

...Probably.

Ah~ but it's fun to ask around like this. It would be even more fun if someday they each actually got the roles they thought of! Please imagine that and enjoy it!!

Oops, this is terrible! For this month, it seems I'll have to put down my pen soon.

Well then, from here I will go on a journey to find material for next month's issue. Please don't look for me... All of my readers, this is where each of us must part (tear).

So then, until the day we meet again...

I'll take my pen and paper... and I'm off! [pen and paper emoticon]

(1) I considered several different translations of 「ほな!書こうか!」 and still don't like any of them. >.>

(2) Their names, "Oomi" and "Hiromi", are both written with the kanji 大海.

(3) It's hard trying to translate this, because I can't decide if it's a grammatical error or an accent. What she said in Japanese was 「イチゴじゃと思う」

(4) "Still" here means the stills which are taken for show programs and released as individual photographs for sale. Although it ends up to have nothing to do with the story. X3

(5) She's "singing" the line 「無理だよ」 from "Papa Mitai ni" XD

~

I'm still reeling at the nicknames "Michiko-san" (SO GIRLY!!) and "Mayu-san" (EHH!?). Also, Eriko = <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Hehe, anyway. I've become addicted to translating Kageki articles, apparently, and it's about time I did some Soragumi ones. :P
