First of all... they didn't waste any time, did they?! I thought I'd just be getting general cast announcements, and the musumeyaku leads for Junjou, and instead I got role names for half the people in both Junjou AND Singin' in the Rain, AND the rest of the people in Parisai 2008!!!
Where to begin. I guess Singin' in the Rain first.
ONCE AGAIN, LET ME SHOUT FROM THE ROOFTOPS THAT ALICE IS PLAYING HER DREAM ROLE, THE LEAD ROLE OF KATHY!!! ^_________________^
Other than that, this is the most crazy mixed-up cast ever. @____@ The only people I got right were Tomu!Cosmo, Micchan!Lina and Machami!Zelda. And those were pretty obvious. :\
Tomu!Cosmo and Machami!Zelda = exactly as they should be. ^_______^ Tomu + comedy = WIN, and Machami + green dress dance = DOUBLE WIN.
Micchan!Lina... In a few more weeks I'll stop whining about this and look forward to Micchan in a dress. I'm sure it will actually be really funny.
But the rest of the cast...! I am just flabbergasted that they gave such an old role to Eriko, and Tamatama for that matter. The only logic I can see in it is that it GIVES them roles in a show that doesn't have a lot of big parts. :\
Actually Roscoe isn't so bad for Eriko; she can make the part younger as long as she doesn't have that pencil mustache (OH GOD PLEASE NO).
But Tamatama as R.F. Simpson?!?! I... can't... just... does not compute!! Tamatama, Tani's producer and the distinguished president of a film company?! She's too young and sweet-faced for all of that!! I sense a lot of grey hair attachments will be involved. T____T;;
Anyway, Masako as Rod! Aww, that should be fun. :3 And Ayumi-san as Dora Bailey! Actually, I should have counted her in my correct guesses. I did think it would be Ayumi-san!Dora.. ^^
...AHA! AHA! Diction Coach is still up in the air!! Both of my guesses have other roles! In that case, plz be Mii-chan, it would be so funny. :D
Yeah, so let's think about all those other little roles now that we have a full cast list to play with!
Movie villain! Tomoe. Or, if Movie Villain doubles as Beautiful Girl singer, then Mii-chan or Dai-chan. But I would rather Movie Villain Tomoe, Diction Coach Mii-chan, Policeman Dai-chan and Mii-chan x Dai-chan on "Beautiful Girl". They don't have to double-up roles in exactly the same way they did for Hoshigumi.
Oh wait, but Sid! We still need a Sid! Oh, decisions. If it's Tomoe or Mii-chan, it will mess up all my plans. But I think it's less likely to be Dai-chan... or Risa-chan, the other otokoyaku with some seniority. BLAST. I DON'T KNOW.

Other semi-important musumeyaku roles. Nanette--Lina's costume mistress person--and Miss Dinsmore, Lina's diction coach in that one scene. Nanette is a little bigger role, but Dinsmore is an older role, so I say Ecchan!Dinsmore and Ayu!Nanette. (Going down the line of senior musumeyaku.) Or, eh, I guess Ayu's done those older roles in shinkos too, so it could go either way. To be honest I like the idea of Ecchan!Nanette better for some reason.
The Three Stage Hands. I want everyone to be stage hands... but if it could be some combination of Carrot-chan, Kasuga, Bonbon, Sattsun and Neo, I would be most happified. :D
And I think I'll be happy with whoever gets to be policemen. Otokoyaku policemen = love.
Ooh oohhh!! Young Don & Cosmo! I think in Hoshigumi's version it was two musumeyaku. I could also nominate Neo for this because she's short (X3 ILU NEO), but... ooh... Ebi-chan and J-ko? I would like that. :D
...And now I think I've milked the SitR casting discussion for all that it's worth. XD But just think! All those other little musmeyaku as the club dancers! Other baby otokoyaku who could be in the silent movie!

And continuing from their match-up in the Reimei shinko, it's Re-re paired with Chii-chan!!! Didn't I say, if it wasn't Alice or Seiko, that a 92nd would be one of those leads? ;) I did, indeed!
Seiko, as it happens, appears to be in a nibante musumeyaku role as a geisha. In the Chigi cast; it's Eri-chan in the Chii-chan cast. Eri-chan!geisha!! Squee!death!!!
Or maybe the nibante musumeyaku is the role going to Zono / Sakurako, paired with what looks like the nibante otokoyaku, Kacha and Akkii? YAYYY, KACHA AND AKKII!!! They're all sweethearts and I'm so happy for them. ^______^

I correctly guessed that Susshii-san would be in this, and Yucchi-san did indeed get the mother role, but I didn't predict Aoi as a servant girl. :( Couldn't that have gone to a younger musumeyaku so Aoi could be in SitR like I planned? Married to Yucchi-san is Chiyako, and they're six school years apart with Yucchi-san being the senior, which is a little comical. ^^;; And Kimitsun the researcher, something I assume is an old man role? :( Old Man Kimitsun do not want.
But Kasshii the apprentice should be fun, Natsu in a good and proper role as the teacher, and... Go-kun the head clerk over servants Aoi and Rena? Both of whom are her sempais? I am amused. ^^;;
As for the nameless rest of the cast!! They're almost entirely different between the Chigi & Chii-chan runs!! I am ecstatic for Cate's sake that Mappuu and Keito both got in, albeit in opposite performances. X3 Also, Tamami! Mayu-chan! Sakkun! Kurumin! Monchi! And many more!! <3 <3 <3
