It has been a while since I took the time to write a decent amount in here, and now, with a glass of chardonnay to my left and Debussy playing from an old record player to my right... it seems to be as good a time as ever.

I must speak frankly and say that Saturday night proved to be quite interesting. It's always lovely to spend time with Antonio, especially after it has been so long since I've seen him last, and it was wonderful to see Fai again too; he's already done so much for me by showing me around this tediously confusing castle. (And really, I am so pleased to find that all of the staff, teachers and otherwise, are so friendly here! I can't wait to meet everyone who's yet to arrive as well.)

As for those German brothers... that whole experience was rather entertaining in its own way, non? Don't think I've forgiven you for that beer incident though, Gilbert.

I sincerely hope that I am not killing the pronunciation of your name, Ludwig. If it proves to be too irksome for your ears, I can refer to you as Luc, I suppose...

All of that aside, the past few days have been rather quiet for me. I'm not accustomed to the isolation that Hogwarts brings. Up to a point I can find it to be quite relaxing, and a nice change, but...

I've done my best to busy myself, working on lesson plans and making my classroom a more friendly-looking environment... and most of all less dark and dreary. Ever seen the port of Marseilles? No? Well, you will when you look through the enchanted window I created to brighten up the classroom.

Tomorrow, I plan on going to Diagon Alley to do some shopping... perhaps a few other places also. Either way, I'm hoping it will be a nice day.

fai, ludwig, class, antonio, gilbert, watch me ramble about nothing
