dirty little secret
I had a conversation with theoret about this when she came to stay (COME BAAAACK THEO) and I think she may have hit me and called me a terrible person for it, but:
I REALLY WANT MORE J2 FIC WHERE THINGS DON'T END HAPPILY.
I feel like the internet collectively sucked in a breath of shock and betrayal, just typing that.
I'M SORRY, internet. The thing is, I was never into schmoop really until I got into J2. My previous serious RPS ship back in the day was Domlijah, which was surprisingly unformulaic and chock full of unhappy/unresolved/unrequited endings. I was about fifteen back then so naturally I LOVED THAT SHIT and wrote it with fervour and glee. Then, three/four years later I got into J2 and went WOW THIS IS ALL SO HAPPY I LOVE THIS SHIT WHO KNEW.
So I've lasted two years of RPS schmoop, which is honestly quite impressive considering how flighty I used to be, but now I really want to read things where they break up or stay together and hate it or never get together in the first place or Jared runs off with the governess.
And still the happy stuff. Don't get me wrong, I STILL LOVE THE HAPPY STUFF. But I have needs.

(Last night I dreamt the ghosts of all Dean's jilted lovers came after him and... made him sandwiches. They were very sinister sandwiches, though. Dean was chasing after the girls shouting 'NOT THE GARLIC MUSTARD! NOT THE GARLIC MUSTARD!'
They never did use the garlic mustard. Who knows what might have happened?)

eta: Hahahaa speaking of unhappy fic, this thing I am writing right now is becoming more and more POTENTIALLY HATED. I didn't think that many people were going to want to read it anyway but now I've decided it HAS TO BE IN SECOND-PERSON POV. This is the thing that's looking to be 10k+.
Probably five people are going to read it and four of those will send hatemail.
