My latest evil plans (Past, present, and that other thing)

Dec 03, 2006 05:21

I really wish I had itneresting things to post.

Life these days:

Guitar
Class
Work
Girlfriend
Videogames
Friends
Projects
Daydreaming

Specifics?

Jamming-
---Sandpiper West has:
---4 guitarists, 1-2 bassists, and a drummer
---8 guitars, 1 harmonica, 1 banjo, 3 sets of bongos, a handful of amps, 2 basses, a drumset, etc.

Building cool stuff (more or less)-
---Dustin gave me a 15-watt Fender amp... I took it apart, replaced the 8" speaker with car stereo 6x9's
jacked my modeller into the power amp via the cd-player in, and proceeded to rock the hell out. More
damage to follow as I add 1 or 2 12" Subwoofers and crossovers. Serious firepower. I want distortion
that will make the universe break at the seams.

In the works-
---Finish putting together apocalyptic amp. (Need subs, crossovers, and evenutally more than 15-watts...I'm waiiting
for the bit where the power transitor... as in 1 power transistor... melts down. Also going to build custom enclosure with
a spot for the modeller so that I don't have to lug a buncha stuff around. )

---Thermite art. (Holy liquid metal Batman! Coincidently...I know a guy who goes by Batman. Amusing guy...not many people know his
real name, but the name batman is well-known about the campus. Word of mouth is the way to go)

---Finish aquiring kite gear (board, harness, IMPACT VEST...heh, impact vest just sounds brutal), and take lessons
so as not to die.

---Write novel... Possibly based on an idea I had while writing a critical analysis of a play that doesn't exist (except in my mind)

---Build crazy carbon fiber jump shoes/wall climbing biometric power assist things...

Class-
---Catching up on 6 homeworks (ish), a lab, and 3 quizzes for organic whilst preparing for thursdays test
(What you get for missing almost 5 weeks of class total)
---Making up plays to write analyses of for stupid online classes (check....and check.)

Toys and stuff-
---Impatiently awaiting the arrival of my new 18m^2 kite. 6 feet stood on its leading edge. 500-700lbs of life.
As Graham said, "That's like putting a leash on a Rhinocerous{sp?} and going for a walk"

---Occasionally taking one of the sailboats out on the lake. Whhhhhheeeeeee!!!!

---Try not to spend ALL of my income on ebay. Also be careful with Paypal buyer credit, even if the cap
is low enough to keep me out of REAL trouble.

Work-
---Back at V.Palms, getting decent money for reading wikipedia/slashdot/arstechnica/various novels, drinking diet pepsi,
and surfing ebay. Also getting sort of bored. I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable with the "money for nothing thing."
Thank (or blame) the crappy real estate market round these parts. I probably shouldn't be complaining.

Girlfriend-
---I was initally concerned that she was a freshman and I'm a....something or other (brick house?),
but it seems to be working out alright anyway. She's sort of on the "doesn't really need her space" side
of things, but I appear to be getting used to it (probably doesn't help that I live in the next building over).
That's wierd. Oh well, it works, I'll go with it.
