A Poem Most Of Us Can Relate Too

Same Last Name

Let’s take a drive.

Roll down the windows.

Blast the radio.

Escape into a world of our own.

Where we can just be happy.

Happy without judgment.

Where we can hold hands in public.

Kiss on a park bench.

Cuddle on a blanket at the beach.

Hold each other in the movies.

Walk down an aisle to say “I Do”.

To wear rings we handed each other.

To raise a baby as fathers.

To watch her/him get married.

To hold our grandchild.

To be buried next to each other.

To stand at the gates of heaven.

And be welcomed in with open arms.

To have our child visit our gravestone.

And have only one gravestone.

With our names on it with the same last name.
