I spent almost all of yesterday's daytime hours cleaning.
Why? Because that is the sign that can tell anyone I'm stressed and doing a lot. Things just don't move. I put piles down and never put them away. My Springfest clothing bag, exploded open and eating the floor space around it, stayed that way for over a good two weeks, along with birthday presents, picture piles and book piles (of which I am down to one left).
I woke up to a note requesting I vacuum since Earl had cleaned before going to bed that morning, too. Which inspired me to pick up the rest of the living room and dining room. Beginning to vacuum the tile floor of the cat hair newly balled inspired my mind that we suddenly need a good mopping, as it hadn't been done since a few weeks before Tony moved out. So I vacuumed and then mopped the kitchen, dining room, front door landing and my bathroom tile.
Got involved with cleaning more parts of the kitchen, the laundry room, my bathroom from the last two weeks, my bedroom. All things which made sense to attack in no real order (...and yeah adhd sort of kills finishing one room at a time, if even so much as walk into another room to put something away) previous to vacuuming. Which came next for all carpets, the little ones in the kitchen and bathrooms, the living room, hallways, my room.
Meticulously crazy cleaning day. Which was, of course, as you saw completed out with Heart Chakra Planning and then spending a million hours writing up all the events I've forgotten or putting off the last two weeks.
Now everything is shiny and clean and pristine when I walk past it.
Except for the part of my bedroom that is amassing to be packed in a suitcase this afternoon or tomorrow, for my very last big July/summer trip starting tomorrow evening. Suppose I should get on with that. As I only have so much time before
evegryffindor and Lavern and the SparkleExplosion will steal the rest of my evening/night.
I think I will toss those first two movies on, continue to work on my shorthand notes list for writing up Springfest, and start the, honest to god, packing to visit the middle of nowhere which will be made of awesome. And try my hardest not to watch the clock countdown each minute to
evegryffindor's arrival.
