Smoothie Test #1

Jul 11, 2009 21:40

One of the many other things bought while out today was a hand blender, originally placed on the list due to conversation with other foreigners during the Temple Trip. It took me a good three weeks before I finally got it, but tonight became Smoothie Test #1.

The ingredients were a small plain yogurt, one banana, two large kiwi, one nectarine, and a splash of milk. Diced up, fruit and skins, since the latter is usually such a nutirious part of a piece of fruit or vegetable. The hand blender works like a charm from opening to box to clean up. Always easy to manage. The smoothie itself was, and is right, fabulously delicious.

I'm thinking a little less milk, or the addition of a frozen banana would make this even more slushy. And I want to test out using orange juice and grape juice or the lychee apple juice in it already, too. I need to go get more fruit for this purpose already. Breakfast has now been revolutionized.
