When I’m with you, my heart is stuck on the edge of a mountain that houses rocky verges and a terrain of trees filled with little creatures. They whisper to me as I try to back off from the ledge I can’t seem to force myself away from and there’s a slight comfort in the thought of falling into the abyss below. I figure to myself that there’s a light within the darkness, a form of serenity where I forget you and don’t think of the “what-if’s.” Sometimes, I wish I hadn’t met you and other times, I’m glad the universe brought you in my life. With your essence filling up the barren contours in my life, my life will never be the same.
