February the 1, 2, 3, and 4: Snow days rock, being sick does not

Feb 04, 2009 17:09

Well today is a snow day for me and finally gives me enough time to catch up and type out everything that has happened over the past few days. Not that a lot has happened, but since onemanga has started uploading tokyopop series again (yay for Trinity Blood) and crunchyroll having a really slow movie player (the video only loads when the video is playing, not when it is paused, so if you pause too long and it freezes it's really annoying and tedious to re-load the video and try to get back to your original spot), plus feeling sick in general has kept me from posting. I've gone from not being able to talk to not being able to breath and I'm coughing a bit now too. That part puzzles me, I thought coughing was part of the early stage of a cold, not the later ones. Hmmm, this is the kind of science they should teach us in school instead of memorizing geni. It's still science but practical, well that explains why they don't teach it!
Speaking of school, and speaking of computer issues, I do believe that my school's sever has gone off the deep end. Yesterday I started my history study guide in study hall and, since I hadn't finished it, I just saved it. History class rolls around (8th period, last class of the day) and since the third was originally supposed to be the Middle School Model UN day (god, 220 middle schoolers running around) we were supposed to go the library and work on the guides then. But the UN got cancelled due to our two hour delay (oddly enough, we got more snow that day than today, then again, I live in a different county than the school, the far end of my school's county IS the foot hills) so we did our study guides in the class room. I attempt to log in and work on it, but the school computers won't let anyone log on! AND the library was closed (again! I was closed Friday after school and Monday after school the teachers were having a meeting in there so shader, phantom and I went around and mocked the old graduating class yearbook pages on the second floor) so I couldn't try there either! The test was supposed to be today, but since teachers can only schedule certain tests for certain days (and my teacher will be gone on the CUMUNC-Catholic University of america Model UN Conference trip for Thursday and Friday) I have a bit of a reprieve but still, sooo annoying!
Besides computer troubles (we finally got our Wi-Fi working! That in and of itself would take a whole post) everything has been quite. Went back to the used bookstore today and got xxxHolic 3 and 5 (ironically enough, the same ones I would've bought on Saturday) and The Dragon Heir which means that I need to start mooching again and finish up The Wizard Heir at B&N. Oh and I'm second in line for Raven Rise at my library, but it's still only on order. Probably going to buy the first two Pendragon books online tonight, I got a (I think legit) $10 Amazon coupon and I sold my paper back copies of those two today at the used book store. I was also thinking of ordering Bride of the Water God 2 from Boarders today but I'm not sure if I have enough money now, sigh, the life of a poor high school student, even worse than that of a poor college student!
Well, signing off but first, let's see if I can find some more subbed Black Butler...

xxxholic, computer, anime, manga, snow, money, book, economics, no school, school, friends, bride of the water god
