January 31st: Yup, still sick

Jan 31, 2009 21:00

Every time I get sick I ponder which is worst, the sore throat or not being able to breath. Usually the answer changes depending on which stage I'm in, but usually sore throat wins. Seriously, I've had so many liquids today to soothe my throat (five cups of carnberry juice, two cups of hot cholocate I think, one of which boiled over and burned me, two or three of milk, no earthly idea how much water) that there is no chance for me getting dehydrated (or UTI as Ted pointed out). My mom did get seriously dehydrated once from the stomach virus, seriously, worst birthday ever (three people puking, two appliances dead, one pink eye infection, happy 11th birthday).
Anyway, between my throat and a huge headache my mom got I ended up not going to Animania which was very sad since I A) Wanted to get half off manga and B) Had actually found all of my money and had enough to get four volumes! But, Avatar did get two Annies (those are the Animated Awards), one for BestTelevision production produced for children and Joaquim Dos Santos got one for his directing (Directing in an animated television production or short form) for Sozin's Comet part three. AND ANN (animenewsnetwork.com) has an interview with Elsa Garagarza, the background designer of Avatar. Man, avatar has (had?) so many talented people working on it, this is just going to make the movie suck more in comparison. ;_;
Let's see, desperately trying to avoid Edward Scissorhands in the background, kinda hard since it's up high and literally right behind me (Ted had to pull the computer desk out to install the air port, never worked but now we have a wireless router and he hasn't gotten around to putting the desk back). I think there must be some kind of creed that says that anime fans must like dark gothic stuff, aka Tim Burton and Hot Topic. Now, I won't say I'm more intelligent than these people, oh no, simply not as restricted. Although I was a little worried that Leigh might jump me when I called Tim Burton "uncreative" and "does the same stuff over and over" when she wanted to know why I didn't want to see Cornelia (couldn't tell her that he creeps me out as well since I'd have to hit her pretty hard to get her to shut up in the future and I'm trying to be less violent these days).
So I've just rambeled on about a lot of inconsequential things, I'm loopy I'm loopy I'm loopy~ Guess I should shower now, signing off!
