January the 29th: Ack

Well, I might not post in the next few days since there is a good chance I might not have a computer. YOu see, Ted has been trying (very hard) to install an Apple Airport so we can have wireless in our house (and run more computers) and since he has had no luck whatsoever, our computer is probably going to be in the stop all weekend. Yay us, at least my dad has a computer on Saturday.
School wise.... crap, just blanked. Well, shader has tried to kill me three times in the past two days for all the photo's I've taken of her when she's been sleeping (lol, I could have a whole slideshow of photos I have of her like that) and have nearly been kicked for my troubles. Also, one of my class mates (not a guy I know real well) got into a major car wreck. Like, lost all his teeth, broke his nose and cheek bones, coughed up 2 liters of blood and is in a chemical coma (which I believe means that the hospital put him in one) bad wreck. It rained a lot recently and apparently he had been making a turn when a lady's car hydroplaned and hit his car dead on at 40 mph. His car was so old that it didn't have air bags, hence all the injuries. So yeah, apparently his mom's hysterical (don't blame her) and I know one class mate whose air bags are deactivated on his jeep (he's not sure why, the previous owner did it) and know he's going to be looking into how to re-activate them.
Actually, a TON of my classmates (that means seniors) have been in accidents this year. I can think of almost a dozen people, and there are only 133 kids in my class! Like, god, one girl hit her head so hard on the steering wheel that her eye, well, it like, split and the doctors weren't sure if she would be able to see again (she can though). Other people have hit, been hit, hydro-planned, but I've noticed something. For all the accidents that my class mates started (not ones where they were the ones hit, which is a lot actually) it was either night or had just rained in almost all the accidents. So I guess that's just inexperience, but my classmates have gotten some brutal injuries. Heck, last year one girl had a really bad burn on her hand from the powder in her air bag when it went off. I guess car accidents are just a part of high school, a really crap-tacular part though.
Oh, and a sad story, on Tuesday a teen was hit and killed in a nearby county because some lady didn't stop when the school bus put out the stop sign. People, THAT IS VERY HIGHLY ILLEGAL! Well, unless it's more than a four lane road or there is a median, DON'T RUN THE STOP SIGN. I NEARLY DIED THIS WAY! Sorry for the caps, but that's my one life and death experience.
It was freshman year and we rode a short bus (SHUT UP!) and had just pulled up to our drop off point. It's at one of the feeder schools, the one where my brother and I went to. For some reason there were a lot of cars parked around there so we barely fit into a space. My mom was parked on the other side of the rode and a little back (this was a little two lane side street). So me and H.G. (who was carpooling with me this day) went to the back of the bus, since there was no where else to cross, and looked around the bus to see if it was safe to cross. And BAM, we nearly get hit. We nearly got hit by a huge-ass frackin' SUV while looking to see IF we were going to get hit. And my mom saw the whole thing, I've never seen her look so horrified in her life, she nearly saw the two of us die before her eyes and wouldn't have been anything she could do. Actually, there is a chance H.G. could've lived, I was in front of her, but I would've died or at the very least ruptured half my organs.
So yeah, I get really annoyed at people for this, so for the sake of the people who HAVE died, don't do this, it's a class one felony now if you hit someone and pretty bad even if you don't.
So, signing off, hope everyone remembers this.
