If you don't get the title, that was one of the things said today in the comic, Get Fuzzy. If you still don't get it, go to youtube and type in Monty Python Spanish Inquisition, you will die laughing if comedy is your thing.
Anyway, today was a good day. We got out copy of the magazine called The Week today which covers world affairs, politics, scientific breakthroughs and other interesting stuff. Wow, do the Republicans do anything BUT mudsling? Really, my mom says that this happens in every election (the Republican mudslinging specifically, I have learned that insult making is part of an election, unfortuantly) but geezeus, how is anyone supposed to know about Republican views with their "What IS a community planner anyway?" and so much stuff that my mom can't come up with any good examples. Well, except for one where the Republicans said that Obama said that Kindergardeners should have sex education when what he really said was sex ed for all, for Kindergardeners it would just be the difference between "good touching and bad touching." My mom then remarked that you would think that Republicans would be HAPPY with that idea, but as it has been pointed out lately, now that are just going "Oh, life happens" when referring to Paulin's teenaged pregnant and unwed daughter. Seriously, almost every view seems to have been reversed since she came into the game and now everyone is wondering where the "reasonable protest" and "male chauvenist pig" line is. So bothersome, and it sounds like most other countries aren't happy with the idea of an inexperienced woman being VP and possibly president (because "life happens").
For the rest of my day I dyed fabric, I'm working on Horo's second outfit (from Spice and Wolf) and remembered that we had an old sheet in the fabric and purple fabric dye to use. I'm also hoping to re-dye one of my sheets tomorrow since the color is fading, but we don't have enough room on the clothesline. OH, the clothes line, wow, I need to post pictures of it. The only rope I could find in the basement wasn't long enough to tie to the nearly dead tree in our backyard and anything else really (I tried, the fence was too far off) so I moved one of the chairs on the deck around, weighted it down with a small tub of rainwater that we have and it worked well enough, sagging alarmingly close to the ground when the fabric was on, and I could only find one (small) clothespin to help me out as well. Welcome to my house, normalicy is scarce and strange ideas plentiful.
Also worked a bit on my Ahiru plushie, I hope to have time to finish it tomorrow, but I also have a history paper to write. It's nothing major, a three page bibliography, but I am having a hard time finding information on my person, Daniel Carroll (but Wikipedia did confirm that I am related to him!). Seriously, we checked a good university library and found almost nothing, and nothing on the Consitutional Convention as well. I remember that I have a book on that (for kids though) in my room and will probably have to resort to it, I always have the weirdest sources. No really, I used a cookbook as a source for comparing the Narnia creation story to the one in Genisus, I'm using an old article in Cricket for my Roman Bath's project (a project which is probably going to be bigger than I am) and I can't tell you the number of times I've wanted to cite my mom as a source.
After our failure to find information I followed my mom over to the art museum wear she is a docent for the next hour (originally I was supposed to be at the library to sort through the information, but with nothing to sort through it was kinda pointless). I didn't actually follow her around, I just wandered and then sat for half of the hour (it's a smallish museum, nothing like the Cleveland Museum of Art that I'm used to, that place was BIG). It was okay, but I learned that marble benches are REALLY cold to sit on.
So that was today, probably going to get yelled at for staying on the computer again, and I think I might have an itunes rant tomorrow, won't be happy if I do have stuff to rant about. Oh and a new chapter of Kobato came out today! Why do I want to do almost everyone of Kobato's outfits...
Signing off!
