Somedays I got to bed going "gahhhhh" but I don't think I'll be doing that tonight (I will be going to bed going "aahhhhh, I have so much to do tomorrow but that seems to be the story of my life now). I didn't get tons done today but I still can go to bed feeling happy about what I did do.
Listened to more speeches in Public Speaking and I'm a bit worried for my speech since I still need to hammer out my examples but I think that as long as I stay calm and speak clearly I'll be one of the better speakers in the class (I've been fine for article shares and self introduction speech and I think the 7+ years of giving speeches has really given me a leg up on my classmates). Wandered around on the mall a little bit and got some more photos of the trees around here, can't wait until I'm home to show them off to my mom, and was a bit annoyed that I now have my second paycheck and STILL don't have any deposit envelopes to send it off in. Went back to my room since none of my classmates could hang out after Japanese and puttered around for a little bit (why haven't I gotten that Sherlock Holmes post up yet?) and got a little dressed up for the evening and had to run to another photo demonstration thing. This was for a pocketwizard (henceforth referred to as "the fancy remote thing" just because I don't want to do product placement) and I was actually interested in this one. I haven't worked with one before but I have noticed them with a few photographers when they're doing something with a ton of flashes and they need to synchronize when they all go off (like that truck shoot this summer, dear lord he was using over half a dozen flashes to get some very specific shots, you can see why having a fancy remote to make sure everything goes off at the same time is nice) and got to play a little with a $30,000 camera afterwords (mentioned that to Heather and she actually knew the brand and was able to tell me who the heck Anne Leibovitz is).
So after all of that I grabbed dinner super fast and went over to the student union because the gaming club was having some little party and I thought I might hang out for a while and if it wasn't fun I'd try to scrape together three dollars for the drag show next door. Ran into Heather there and had a good time chatting with her and Chynna (I was able to give her the Navi hairclip I had finished up that weekend and four or five people complimented her on it and she told them all I made it which made me almost blush since it was pretty simple, I'd just kept forgetting to do it). Played some games there, mainly Blazblue (which I think is now my favorite button mashing fighting game and I think Heather is being a bad influence and trying to make me cosplay one of the girls) and Rock Band. I like Guitar Hero okay but got bored of it fairly fast (thank god it's Sam's game then) but Rock Band is *tons* of fun! Probably helps that I like the drums better than the guitar/bass and they had a ton of songs (that I actually knew) and we spent a ton of time switching out people and playing a lot of songs. I don't call myself a gamer since I don't play much, just don't have the time with all the anime I watch and at least I can get knitting/sewing done during it, but I certainly enjoy playing games so this was a pretty fun way to spend a few hours (and made me feel less bad that I didn't see the drag show, I swear I'll see the spring show!) and I've just been feeling pretty upbeat all evening afterwords. So, I suppose I should get off to bed, work, movie, and anime tomorrow, just hope I remember to work on all my projects sometime!
