July the 6th: So many books @_@

Jul 06, 2010 22:46

Didn't get a chance to shelve much in the store today because we had a different project, count every book we have in the back! No literally, something for tax purposes so we had to count which ones were hardback, mass market, trade paperback, ect. The other librarian had started on Friday so we finished up today and she'll try to get it together as soon as possible and I wish her luck. Me? I finally got a hold of my bank account today and then got a letter from the IRS informing me I owed $150 in taxes. FFFFFFFFF, IRS, I'm not saying I don't own taxes, HOWEVER, informing me that I have a late fee on them as well is completely unfair since you guys never got back to me after I refiled! Gah, I blame my dad, if he had actually TOLD my mom and I beforehand he was going to claim me as a dependent I would've filled out my taxes differently the first time and the government would've kept the money, since I got it back and it had been quite a while since I refiled I used the money instead to pay for all my AZ fees. Sure I still have money in my account but $150 is a big check, my mom says that my dad should be willing to pay for it with all the money I managed to get from FAFSA for school but he probably will bring up that he just got me the camera. Just to sound snarky, I DIDN'T ask for him to do that, he pretty much insisted on it and I couldn't think of an argument that was convincing enough to stop him (telling him that I don't want to be tied down to my family with expensive gifts would not have gone over well even though it's the truth) and the fact that I could've waited won't help my argument either. Gah, guess I'd better make more of an effort to work with the camera, the problem is that I don't have a bag for it yet so I can't carry it around and I feel awkward carrying something so expensive around with me. Plus, not as many nice areas to take photos around here and I'm not used to carrying a camera around, it's been almost five months since I was able to and that camera was able to take a lot more abuse. I guess it's partially from having my old camera break for no apparent reason that I don't want to carry it around and take photos but I also can't think of much that I want to photograph around here. Although, downtown looks pretty enticing, need to find time to get over and have a good walk around but crap, don't want to do that by myself with my camera no matter how safe the downtown is, why can't I just be back at college where none of this would be a problem?
Wow, that was one long paragraph but I'm too tired to split it up now so a long paragraph it shall remain! Not much else to say, started writing a review for Throne of Jade but blanked out halfway though and called it a day there and I finished up Ghost Stories. It was okay and funny but by the end I was being burned out by all the jokes, guess you should either spread this one out or go for the best episodes but none stuck out in my mind as being "the best." I'll have interesting things to say about that one on the review.
So, signing off early so I can get to bed early since I need to get up earlier. Early early early, gah, I'm much more of a in the middle person, not too early in the morning but if I sleep past 10:30 or so I get cranky, just feels like I wasted too much time.
