June the 25th: Now this one I just started late
Auugghhh, a spring has sprung in the dishwasher and I've gotten at least one bruise on my knee from it. Then again, I've noticed that I seem to get more bruises at home than school, more pointy-yet-dull objects around here I suppose.
Got to the library to look up some consumer report reports about DSLRs, they don't say much but the ones they reviewed all seem okay. So, got the names and I'll try to find more detailed reviews online but I'm not sure where to look. See if my dad has any ideas tomorrow, but we're going to a baseball game so who knows how much time we'll have there.
Anime wise, finished the Area 88 OVA yesterday and got a review written for that, finished Durarara today (writing that review will be fun since I loved the show and did facepalm over it once or twice, and now I'm spoiling myself on all the novel snippets I can), and the last episode of Bakemonogatari finally went up so subs should be out in a few days. What that means is another anime review soon, House of Five Leaves ends either next week or the week after, FMA:B is the week after for sure, the last episode of Big Windup just needs to be subbed so that should be sometime next week and it sounds like a number of Senko no Night Raid episodes are about to come out. So I'll get another up early/mid July then and, with all the streaming on ANN, it should continue all summer. Dropping Nobody's Boy Remi though, I tried five episodes and I just wasn't looking forward to seeing the next episodes. I'll probably try again someday but for now I'm going to just see what else is out there.
Half-way done with Boneshaker now (good thing too since it's a 14 day book and I've had it about a week now) and I grabbed a few more books from the library for reading as well. Got a nice little pile waiting, went to B&N again today and I couldn't find Guardian of the Dead (the in-store computer was so slow that I had to wait to get home and go "oh it is out of stock"). Out of stock in all the stores near me actually and it's "likely in store" for Borders, I wonder if it's a good thing that it seems to be selling or bad that the stores didn't stock it much (although, I think the author said that there was a second print run for it in the US so I hope that's just the case). And eugh, the customer reviews on Amazon are written better than the official reviews, seriously, were the editors not in and that's how such clunky writing got past them?
Tried a bit, not exhausted but I can probably blame the diet pepsi+mentos from earlier for that (side note, I have no idea what the appeal of mentos is, it tastes nasty), so I'll turn in in a little bit. Signing off, tomorrow is going to be a re-do clothing palzooza!
