Unwrapped plenty of other things too but I do sympathize with my cousin who works in Hallmark now (thank god we weren't playing Christmas music though, I'd go mad if I had to hear that from July to December). So yes, volunteering with the Ten Thousand Village people went fine, lots of unwrapping, some pricing and we did spend about 3 hours just unpacking and unwrapping about 2/3 of the stuff. They probably finished that after I left and then tomorrow they'll arrange it all but tomorrow I start volunteering at the library so I'll be busy with that.
Since that was between 11 and 2:30 that took up a lot of my day, also fired off a letter to the school library about applying and it sounds like yes, they will be doing a database cleaning soon so I should reapply later (just need to check the dates), print out a copy of the application then and run it by the person in charge in the first week of school. A little worried because it seems a lot of the school jobs aren't determined until you actually get back to school which gives me a less secure feeling for sure. Also found out that the school only got enough work-study money this year to continue with people who had work-study last year and whose employer's wanted them back, aka, not enough money for anyone new. Not an encouraging thing at all.
Still watching older-than-me anime, and Remi is reminding me of Lag Seeing. Think it's the "young children who are forced from their mothers' and somewhat/completely tragic stories." Which then made me re-read the first Letter Bee manga and I can't wait for the second season this fall (just with less filler okay please?). And finished the first Area 88 OVA, really long but I liked it, two more now!
Think it's time for bed now, another long-ish day tomorrow and I swear I'm raiding the closet for spare baseball hats for cosplay purposes. Doesn't feel right to not have a project to drive me up the wall and take all of my attention. And I could do with being less bored, signing off.
