September the 17th: Welcome to the Twilight Zone
^^ That was an actual quote I heard today, I thought it looked more like Silent Hill outside myself, seriously I need to post photos to demonstrate just how foggy it was. I was seriously worried about getting lost to my math class, but if I had my camera I could've gotten an awesome shot of my dorm looking all imposing and forbidding.
Sooo, in other news I got an email from my mom last night which said that Ted has swine flu. My first thought was "well, I'm not coming home until October..." and then I read the part where my mom says that I was the one who gave it to him.

HECK?!?!
C'MON, I was sick for a DAY, TWO WEEKS AGO. And that was due to sleep depravity mostly, sure I had a fever but I run high to start with and from everything I have read/heard, "The Oink" is really not fun to have, nothing like my 36 hour bug. And somehow she is ignoring the fact that Ted has been teaching college students for five weeks now...
Anyway, gonna get the regular flu shot tomorrow and I'll ask a little about this (like, I would've figured out if I had swine flu right? You see my mom....). Also meeting with my advisor tomorrow about my spring smester classes, hope that all goes well. And I discovered tonight that it is not as straight forward as you would think to make toast in the mircrowave (toasters are banned from the dorms). So I'm going to be experimenting over the next few days, shader already made me promise to give her the directions once I figure them out. ^_^ And we may be planning to do a web comic about living in college, lord knows we have enough material to work with...
