August the 10th: Dear Technology, screw you and come back later when you work

Seriously, I found out last night that itunes deleted all of the CDs I had imported on the old Mac so I had lost about two thirds of my music. I've gotten a lot of it back, I think I'm just missing four or five albums now and I should be able to re-burn those or transfer them over on my new 4GB memory stick (also need to transfer over my photos, hoo boy is that going to take a while, but it'll probably still be faster than transferring over all my bookmarks, that one is being a pain in the butt). Also having issues with ANN's streaming again, for reasons unknown to me all fansubs almost never crash Safari while ANN, Funi, or CR crash it at least once a day. Seriously whacked out there...
Job was busy, shelved tons, straightened more, almost got into a fight with a patron (he was the one yelling first, I was explaining policy and another librarian was nearby so she could tell the guy was in the wrong, people just get so high and mighty when they think they are being denied something it's almost funny). And I'm just dead tired again, Midnight woke me up at the usual time by jumping on my bed and I was so out of it that it took a few seconds to realize what that new weight on my legs was. Gonna see if I can manage any sewing before bed but I really doubt it. Been kinda irritable too and my mom has been on my case about being on the computer so long (if I hadn't been having so many issues/CDs to burn I would've been off a while ago). And I don't get it, I mostly read manga when I'm on the computer (burning through Nabari no Ou still) and mom and dad never complained when I did so much reading in real life so I don't get why they get to complain now. She claims that I'm being spoon-fed everything. Hardly, manga is even harder to read than a real novel since the Japanese are so indirect at saying anything so I have to spend hours thinking about stuff to even get a decent theory or two, I can make a decent theory about a real book in mere minutes. Ugh, too much thinking, been having to recall the specific parts of the Dewy decimal system today at a moment's notice which is seriously hard (there are literally a few hundred or a thousand different sections in it). I wonder if the library of Congress system is easier to get a hang of...
Signing off, bed time please?
