August the 9th: Why in the world is W.H. Auden so hard to find?!?

Aug 09, 2009 20:07

My dad said that he would like a collection of poems by Auden for his birthday and I went out to B&N to try and find some works by him today (having failed earlier in the week at the used bookstore) and the only copy I could find cost $40. That's quite a bit for an author I had never even heard of, thankfully I found a copy at Boarders later for $12.50 (and with my 40% off coupon it came to just $8, score!). Also picked up the Kiele light novel, I read the manga, liked it, yet can't seem to find anything on the series except that the YP site says it's 7 volumes long. Dunno if it's still ongoing or what, the lack of info puzzles me.
Other than that I was grumpy today. I think it has to do with Sam snoring from 5:15 to 6:45 straight this morning (yes, an hour and half of snoring, he would've continued too if I hadn't gotten feed up with him and chucked my blanket at him which woke him up and made him stop). For both our sakes I hope that neither I nor my roommate snore. Oh, did some shopping yesterday at Target for college stuff, I have a pile amassing in my room (and hopefully it will NOT smell like mildew when I leave, that's the reason I didn't take a nap, I didn't want to sleep in a mildew smelling room).
So yeah, catching up with anime, will be gone from Wednesday to Friday so I won't probably blog (but I will have my touch with me so at least I will have internet where ever there is wireless, I'm being spoiled in my house with our wi-fi, crap, still need ethernet cable). Also trying to read all of Nabari no Ou before Funi puts out the anime, got about 30 or 40 chapters to go... Signing off.
