Yes, they must all be read in order. And yes, we will re-read the ones we've already read.
For our fellow readers and occasional companions in this journey:
I'd say that yes, they need to be read in order, if for no other purpose than camaraderie and discussion. If people want to join us sporadically, they could and should. Must they re-read the books they've already read? I think that would be up to the individual reader.
What do you think, sg_beany? Do we want company along the way?
We would love the company! And possibly some encouragement to keep going :) Please, do drop in sometime...we'll let you know what book we're presently on and you can just jump right in!
I have to say, though ... I read the first 15 pages or so last night and it was surprisingly good for being a history of the world from the perspective of a man born in the 1800s and writing in the early 1900s.
