Weird kid
So ... today one of my fifth grade girls pops her head into a meeting I'm having with one of the teachers.
Girl: "Hey, Jen?"
me: (puzzling over her use of my first name) "Uh... yeah?"
Girl: "I forgot to bring that book that I wanted you to read, so I'll bring it tomorrow."
me: "Uh... okay."
Girl: "Alright ... see ya."
me: "Bye."
I know that I should address the fact that she used my first name ... I probably should have addressed it then and there, but I was a bit shocked. Has this happened to any of the other teachers out there?
