HI HI HI!

Jun 02, 2011 06:56

Today I am doing NOTHING at work. I don't even care. I have been SO freakin' busy the past 2 months that I'm going to just do absolutely nothing work related and not even feel bad about it. :) I'm going to read some ficlets, catch up at Lee Adama Daily, Kara Thrace Lives and No-Takebaks.

I'm also going to write up a big, huge, long post later about ( Read more... )

fringe, doctor who, bsg, ramblings, supernatural, fan art, life, game of thrones, being human, tv

Oh my! These graphics are GORGEOUS. I think I love the next to last one best, although the Inflatable one is also fantastic. Supernatural has tweaked my interest, but I'm probably going to opt for Babylon 5 next. Why do you love it? Sell me!! ;)

Thanks hon! :) It's crazy trying to get used to where things are and using new features and such. Sometimes I get happy accidents though. LOL

As for Supernatural -- Oh...where do I start? I love it and actually hate parts of it almost equally. It's very very confusing, because the parts I love almost rival my feelings of obsession over BSG and Kara/Lee. But the parts I hate make me want to write protest letters. It's going to be a tough sell... except to say that it FAR FAR exceeded any expectations I had for a show coming out of the CW. Oh, how I wish this show had at least a prime time channel. And a different show runner. But that's nothing new in fandom. lol! I'm uncertain as to if I even want to be responsible for dragging anyone into the fandom after the horrible season finale that just happened. :/ But I'll post all about this later today and will be doing my fair share of gushing as well. It might take me a few posts for that much gushing actually.

Lovely graphics! I don't watch Supernatural but I have seen episodes here and there and Misha is great to watch.

Thanks. :) Misha is fabulous! I might be more than a little infatuated with him and his portrayal of Castiel right now. ;)

Hi, hon! Oh, wow, these graphics are spectacular! Love them! (now I wish I had more time to play with photoshop, hee).

As for Supernatural... I've tried, I swear. One of my closest friends (whose opinion I really trust) is a huge fan and kept raving about it, so I gave it a shot. But. I just couldn't get past S1. Don't get my wrong, the show is kind of OK and I like Sam and Dean and their interactions, but there were so many bad, silly (and, I'd say, boring) episodes that I ultimately gave up (plus, there is also this lack of female characters, which is a big drawback for me). But maybe I'll try again in the future.

Thanks chica! As for SPN - Dude... I hear ya. S1 was like nails on a chalkboard. For one thing, I don't like horror movies and we all know I don't like monster-of-the-week TV. The only reason I got through it was because I paid half attention while playing on the computer at home. S2 is much the same with the exception of one of the most HILARIOUS episodes of TV I've ever seen. Then S3 things start to pick up some, but I would say S4 is much like this season of FRINGE was. It's what drew me into the show to begin with so I enjoyed the hell out of it ( ... )

So. . . I'm guessing you mean Castiel as the flawless character? Judging by the art and all. :) I'm not a fan, but everyone else and their mother is so I'm not sure what's wrong with me, other than my usual excuse of possessing a cold, black heart.

I used to casually enjoy Supernatural, but had to stop after the headache inducing seasons 4 and 5. I'm glad you were able to power through them. I know nothing about season 6, so I hope it was better for you stronger viewers.

Is the GoT show any good? I don't have HBO. I really liked the first couple of books in the series, but the story seems so sprawling and complex a thing to adapt to film. It at least looks gorgeous from the pictures I've seen.

Yeah, that'd be correct. ;) I adore Castiel. In fact, if they did a spin-off about him and the civil-war he's fighting in Heaven (so we could actually see what's going) on I'd watch that instead. But then, I like the arc of him becoming a fallen angel who fights against destiny and fate and fights for free will. I find it refreshing to see that kind of story being told. That said, S6 is a ridiculous mess. We didn't get to see much of any of the civil war storyline and then many of the characters were either very OOC or regressed backwards from any character development over the previous 5 seasons. Ah well. And there's nothing wrong with you if you don't like it. LOL! Though I'm sure you know that. There are plenty of shows/books that have big fandoms that I never got into either. To each their own ( ... )

I love a good Free Will tale. I just thought the story became way too black and white when I need a good dose of moral ambiguity to make it interesting. Plus, the show had major issues with women and homosexuality that just became impossible for me to hand wave.

I'll have to figure out how to see an episode without having HBO. . .hmm. Thanks for the recommendation!
