Despite the shit-storm of disappointment and 'we could have had it allllll...' that season one of this show quickly became, I am definitely back on board for season two. I mean, it helps that W.H and M.M have been relegated to producers and I don't have to actually listen to either of them on a weekly basis butttt.... also, Rachel McAdams AND Colin Farrell? AAAAAND Taylor Kitsch (whom I only know from Savages and lemme just say, the crossovering potential is ALREADY driving me crazy! Paul is Chon. Chon is Paul. I ship O with everyone. THINGS ARE LOOKING UP!).
Also, even after just a single episode, I already feel like this season is going to be dripping in that slow burn I love so much. See: The Killing. While the pilot was fractured and hard to follow, plot-wise (though, to some extent, it was 'plot what plot' because that wasn't really the point of the pilot, imo) it did beautifully set up all of the players, in much the same way Sense8 managed to achieve, actually.
Also, obviously, it's visually stunning again. And the soundtrack is already giving me goosebumps. Closing with the sublime Nick Cave's cover of 'All the Gold in California' was basically perf. Opening with Leonard Cohen. Kill me now.

I think I have a new favourite five minutes of television ever in my Heartwarming Montages File and if you've seen the season three finale, I dare you to disagree that the closing moments (Alex's predicament aside) weren't GLORIOUS in all the ways! God, I love EVERYONE on that show. Including the characters it seems Tumblr thinks I should hate. Istg, I am NOT cool enough for Tumblr, no siree. I fucking love Alex and Piper. Almost as much as I love Brooke Soso, who is my FAAAAAAAVOURITE. I make no apologies for this. Poussey, and Chang, and Pennsatucky, and Flacka and ALLLLL OF THEM! Come at me with season four. STAT.

I am so late to this party. And am mostly watching it for the sociologically FLOORED lols it gives me on the REGULAR. Like, seriously, WHAT EVEN IS IT MOST OF THE TIME??! I've just started season four. Art and Arlo are my faves so far. Oh, AND DEWEY CROWE! God, I love Dewey. I also loved Helen and Winona. And basically everyone, to be honest. Though mostly in a WHAT IS THIS TRAIN WRECK, I CAN'T NOT LOOK AT IT kind of way!
