What will games become?

From online to the table-top the future of games has never been more full of promise.

Games will help evaluate skill levels and career interest. They will be the tools that help youth determine what careers they have the ability to excel at and find engaging. The youth who grow up using these techniques will be more successful at work, lead more fulfilling lives, and probably be richer as well.

Games will be a primary form of education and social change and engagement. By engaging in play participants will discover tips on urban survival or learn about artistic movements.

Cities that employ games will have a huge competitive advantage for tourism, growth, development and emergency response. The games that make a difference will be part of the training infrastructure, but will also engage the community.

Massive global games will allow fruitful social networking that break down artificial boundaries created by physical and political geographies. Meet people and get to know them through playing games. Real games - not glorified chores lists.

Unlike the traditional lecture style classroom, games will be designed support multiple learning styles - listening, reading, watching video, fiddling around, trial and error, query-response, and gradual skills development.

Games will continue to be engaging and often fun.
