I Voted!
From car to line to booth to car: 12 minutes. 12 minutes! I'm slightly disappointed that I didn't have much of a wait. The people watching I could have done! The overheard conversations I missed! The polling location volunteers were extremely efficient - no papers to shuffle through for names (they had little 12" computers), no computer glitches, plenty of volunteers to shuffle you around. Slam-bam-thank-you-ma'am.
I got a little thrill when I saw the candidates on the screen. All of this has led up to a couple of taps on a screen. I hope everyone taps their way through this momentous event.
