Another Sunday, another set of thoughts for two of my shows.
Being Human:
-Allison and Tom were adorkable together. I liked how the show showed how killing vampires change people. That Allison started out as such a sweet girl who wanted to use words, and in the middle she was all fired up, but at the end she was somewhere in between.
- I loved that we got more Tom and Hal bonding. I really enjoy their interactions because they are such opposites and either is changing for the sake of the other. But, they are both changing.
- Hal's love interest Alex? She seems like a plot device or a shallow love interest. She has brothers and likes drinking. There is a spoiler that Hal falls in love and I'm guessing it is with Alex. But, I can't bring myself to care. She seemed more interested in a quick fling than a relationship. Hoping Hal gets something more 'real' later.
- Some of the episode was so awkward with the little Allison/Tom scenes and what not. But, I think that was the point - they are awkward and adorable people.
- Again, Annie gets a stupid sub-plot. The only good thing about it was the end with Eve. Oh, and the fact that they are clearly foreshadowing that Annie may have to do something less than 'nice' in order to pass on. (But, didn't she already do something not so nice the first time she got her door? She got Owen to admit that he killed her, but she also shared "the secret only the dead know" and drive him crazy.)
- I'm starting to think that Annie will cross over at the end of S4 or the start of S5.
- I do hope Allison comes back later. She and Tom were really sweet together, and - after growing up a bit - she could be a nice addition to the group.
Once Upon a Time
- I thought that the wolf would be Granny or Peter. Boy was I wrong! Little Red Riding Hood's the Big Bad Wolf in her own story! What a twist!
- Poor Peter. :( Red/Ruby's true love is dead. But, maybe that is why she's so. . .single and ready to mingle in Storybrooke?
- Granny is no longer a werewolf. . .but is Red's curse not happening in SB? I guess the big Curse sort of gets rid of the other curses - like Red's and Rumpelstiltskin's. It makes sense, but I still love that she always wears red. (Does it remind anyone else of the Power Rangers?)
- I'm so glad that we got more character development with Ruby. She can do more than just be sexy and wait tables. I am also so happy that she has stopped wearing all that makeup. Megan Ory is 30 (playing 18) and she looks so much better with soft makeup.
- I think that every character has a bit of a love story going on this season. And, Ruby's is with Granny. Love it!
- I. Don't. Care. About. MM/David. They bore me and this whole 'Kathryn is missing/murdered' storyline does very little for me. And, it sucks that the SB storyline seems to be that murder mystery for the rest of the season. :(
- However the fact that David was in some weird trance in the forest and that there is a box with a heart in it (with Snow/MM's fingerprints) is interesting and something I look forward to seeing play out.
- Seriously, when was the last time we saw Archie?! (P.S. Love that his dog is named Pongo!) And Ruby was on the phone with Ms. Ginger aka the Blind Witch!
- Red and Snow's friendship is really nice and I look forward to seeing more of them in flashbacks. (Also Granny is a badass)
- Next week: Another Snow/Charming flashback episode?! I'm getting so bored with them. Simply because we already know they will end up married and that Snow won't kill Regina. But, at least we'll see Snow making another deal with Rumpelstiltskin. I'm sure he'll discuss how revenge is awesome and true love sucks.
So - what do you guys think? Did you enjoy "Puppy Love" and/or "Red-Handed"?
