Fun Day
Today has been rather interesting and exciting at the same time. First of all I can go to playing WoW. That sorta started the midday off on a sour note. The game gave me a couple of frustrating moments and like others I know, I yelled at the monitor (as if that would do anything) I got into a dungeon and at that moment my computer froze, crashed and presented me with the blue screen of death. Then, it rebooted itself and it took a while to get back into the game. When the dungeon ended, I shut the machine down and walked into the kitchen. Several things on the counter promptly fell on the floor. I knew instantly what took place and I laughed while I picked up the items and replaced them on the counter. Certain things feeding on anger wanted mmore and pushed the envelope to get it. They didn't.
I went to the post office and discovered two large packages. WOO! HOO! My hammer dulcimer had arrived at last! Brand new just built and beautiful. Stand, beginner's book, electronic chromatic tuner, carrying case, tuning wrench . . . the works. To start with, it will be scales and arpeggios until I get used to it and can find all the notes without getting flustered or frustrated. Then . . . some simple tunes until I can do them by rote.
What I would REALLY like is to find someone who can work with me on a one on one basis and teach me the ins and outs of this fabulous new instrument. Not sure how to find someone yet, but I will give it a go.
Oh, yes . . . I escaped Jury duty!
