Video, partially accidental
[The video comes on to show an extreme closeup of a brown firelizard's tail. Looks like Argent has managed to accidentally turn on Ray's PCD. The tail moves away, but the bulk of Argent's body still takes up most of the viewscreen until he chirrups and leaps off the table, flying clumsily over to where Ray is leaning back in a chair looking relaxed and remarkably happy. He's even whistling. And spinning. Yes, it seems Ray's managed to rig himself a drop spindle and seems to be making good headway on spinning the large, multi-colored pile of raw wool that can be seen behind him. Argent attempts to dive bomb the spindle, but this has obviously been attempted before, considering the ease with which Ray swings it out of the firelizard's grasp. It also causes him to notice the PCD is on.]
Really, as events go, this one has been highly productive. [He gathers up the spindle and puts it aside for the moment.]
Argent? Come. [The brown looks at him for a moment, but eventually flies up and lands on Ray's shoulder and is rewarded with a scratch behind the eyeridges]
Seriously though. Food, material for clothing, and waterproofing? One would almost think the Animus were offering us a gift. An apology for the zombies or something. I for one am not questioning the misfortune. Though, I do have a few questions for people. For those of you planning on attempting to keep these beasts, where are you going to pasture them? I debated getting a couple myself, but there is a lack of grassy areas around my house. And what little soil I have access to, I have plans for already. Perhaps a communal grazing ground could be established?
Also, I am looking for someone who keeps night hours to help me. Nothing hard, just monitoring a fire. I have a mind to attempt to make jerky from some of this abundance of mutton.
