i can't stop smelling my wrist

My favorite person came in to the store today. I don't know them, but they have my taste in music. I am now the proud copier of Edwin McCain: The Austin Sessions and the Mandy Moore Coverage cd, as well as a couple of others that I left at work to bring home later. Whee!

Had the most massive allergy/asthma attack of my adultish life yesterday. Went to the doctor who put me on steroids for 16 days. I'm really not looking forward to the hunger and the crazy, though I've had 8 pills today and am feeling pretty normal. We'll see as the days progress. 16! My dad warned me about the steroids. "Stay off the steroids," he always said, and I tried. Really, dad, I tried.

But really, it's his fault that a) I have asthma and b) they're remodeling the house and stirring up dust and crud and the paint fumes and oi!

In addition to all the meds the doc gave me, a family from church invited me to stay with them until all the messiness is over, which is a HUGE relief and even from yesterday, I can tell a difference. No dust, no paint, no cats and dogs. Lovely.

But hey, my house will still look amazing when it's done.

ALSO, went to the Gap at lunch time because last weekend in Dallas I smelled the most fantastic smell, spun orange blossom, which really smells a lot like honeysuckle and is therefore misnamed. I couldn't think of any time before next week that I'd be able to get it, and I ate quickly today at lunch, so I ran over there and they were having a SALE, so I got TWO. Maybe I'll go back later and get MORE. It's all SO EXCITING.
