Well, this all started because back when we moved into this apartment, almost a year ago, we bought a Swiffer because our apartment has hardwood floors and it would work better. All of these headbands were made with Red Heart or Caron Simply Soft with needles size four or six. These were for my sister for her birthday and she was very particular about the colors. I chose patterns out of stitch dictionaries.

I have always wanted to use polymer clay on glass. So last night I decided I might as well try. I did something a little abstract looking, but love it! I made some different canes using a light pink, a light purple, and a dark purple. Then I took the canes and squished them in different ways to create different looks. Well, I dyed some Knit Picks lace weight 100% merino. I used Kool-aid Pink Lemonade and Lemon-lime to dye parts of the yarn and then overdyed it all with royal blue wiltons icing dye. It did exactly what I wanted it to, turning it to varying shades of teal, blue, and purple. Have a look . . .

I wanted to share with you my latest yarn that I spun. It is wool roving that was ordered off the internet. I dyed it with wiltons cake dyes as roving and then spun it. The roving was dyed in solid colors and then somewhat hand "carded" together. I am calling it Pacific Northwest, because that is where I am from and it reminds me of home. These ( Read more... )

These socks were originally started for my mother, but after getting sidetracked watching LOST, well they were a little too long for her and I couldn't resist trying them on to see if they fit me. They did and I just couldn't frog them back for her! ( See the socks! )
