I'm still refusing to buy the first isses (because it's sexism-tastic) but I've been looking at the other issues and I'm actually enjoying it. Mostly, because a lot of the problems with the first issue are being ignored by subsequent issues which leads me to believe that either: 1) The first issue was an attention ploy or 2)Someone is overseeing it more.
Whatever the reason it's actually pretty entertaining now. It's not a perfect title, nothing ever is, but it's not contemptable either. I also really love the team dynamic (first issue aside): Jason and Kori have a really good and solid friendship, and Roy is definitely fitting in with them. The Kori/Roy relationship is cute too.
I also like how they're portraying Jason. I like that he's finally more of an anti-hero, in the sense that he is definitely a "hero" rather than a psycopath. He's finally moving beyond the rage which is probably Kori and Roy's influence on him.
So, Red Hood and the Outlaws is much better than I expected it to be.
