Summary: Regeneration can be extremely unfair.
“That is just not fair.”
He glared at the woman standing in the middle of the console room. To his annoyance, she merely rolled her eyes at him when, at the very least, she should be sympathizing with him over the injustice of the situation. He muttered under his breath and went to console to put in a new destination which the TARDIS would most likely choose to ignore in favor of a destination she wanted.
He stood with his back to the woman, completely ignoring her. After a few minutes of that, it was now her turn to be irritated.
“Really, that’s all you’re going to say to me, Doctor! Not ‘Hello, Romana I’m so glad you’re not dead!’ or even ‘How did you survive the Time War?’” She glared at his back. “Is that all you have to say to me?”
“Well, the first goes without saying and I’ll get around to asking the second soon. But this is really not fair! Actually it goes beyond fairness, this is just not cool!”
He turned back around and pointed at her hair.
Her red hair.
“I never get to be ginger!”
