Tiger Uppercut!

After "Late Work" last evening I made it home looking like a snow-man, and feeling like a damp, cold kid back from an all afternoon tobogganing expedition. Except all I had done was stand outside for a bit, and walk the ten minute distance between work and the domicile.

Winter getting it's last kicks in? We can hope so. Also, the first Winter storm I was caught in this year happened in the Spring. Make of that what you will. In the meantime the long days and temperature changes have played havoc with the bendy parts of my legs. Ow.

In December I ordered some minis from e-bay. They never arrived, and the seller and the USPS provided proof that it had been sent, and made it to a mail depot in Atlanta, and left the depot ... and disappeared. Balls. A small amount of money lost, and the seller had certainly fulfilled their part of the bargain. Uninsured, I didn't really have much recourse, the USPS just sort of shrugged. So I had sort of a sore-spot when it came to miniatures. But I ordered some "whites" -- unpainted and undyed D&D-style minis sold by Reaper Miniatures week before last. They arrived yesterday, well within the "zone of probable delivery" advertised. They're very cheap, look great, and I am well pleased. But on Thursday I was still thinking "great, screwed over again!"

There's a game commercial out right now that really makes me think of the old Pen & Paper Streetfighter game, which as a neat series of mechanics wrapped around a premise that really doesn't appeal to a lot of the folks around here. I get that a lot.

Meanwhile, it's time to plan some possible scenes and opponents for the Big Game. So I'm out.

Doug.
