February 2nd- 1-1 The First Turnabout

Feb 02, 2008 19:51

Welcome to the beginning of the end, folks! ...That just made me cry. I'm not ready for the end of Phoenix Wright. Apollo Justice, if you're not good, I will rip the EB Games salesman limb from limb, even though it's not his fault.

Okay, so today I'm supposed to write about The First Turnabout. I played it just before a nap, so it's all there in my head. Still. I think. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD.

Today's first topic: Winston Payne.
His voice makes me giggle laugh die of laughing. (<--Whoo, the first time I've ever used the strike button!) Winston Payne is so annoying I wanted to punch a wall. He's so stupid, and his hair...especially in the later cases.

Alright, now onto something MORE important: Cindy Stone Cinder Block. No, but really. Remember this picture?:

Let me draw your attention to Cinder Block's face. Doesn't she look possessed? THAT'S BECAUSE SHE IS. My theory: Frank Sawhit, no matter how much of a creepy-ass thief he is, was saving us all from the apocalypse by killing her. Defense of Others, folks. Defense of Others. That's one of them fancy Defense terms that Phoenix Wright never has to use.

Speaking of which, why does he never have to use them? All his defendants were framed, of course. But don't you think that gets a bit old once in a while? I wish Capcom would do something different for a change, but I shouldn't be talking, because I have no idea how to go about creating that. Sorry, Capcom. Nothing against your games- They're all perfect. ALL OF THEM.  I'll get back on defenses in later trials- when I think of them.

Larry Butz. Poor Larry Butz. He kind of makes me feel sorry for him. He's such a lovable character. It's always the same thing with him, and he has such bad luck. This is the Capcom team at its best, blog readers. Think about it. He's a character you can relate to. Or, at least I can. Don't you just hate it when things don't go your way? What about when you 'forget' to do something (AHEM, CASE 4-4)?  Ha. That always put a smile on my face. "Bow before your hero!" (Note: I always did) DISCLAIMER: I am, by no stretch of the imagination, a Larry Butz fangirl. Fangirling doesn't come until the second case.

You know what I truly enjoyed about this case? Besides the fact that Mia's actually in it? The Judge made you answer a bunch of questions. I like that better than not. Because what if you didn't know what a defendant was? If you didn't, I might have had to hurt you. And all those in favor of Mia being the BEST-OPENING-CASE-ASSISTANT say aye. Aye. They killed her off WAY too soon, but I will explore that thought TOMORROW, for tomorrow is 1-2: Turnabout Sisters!
And yes, like some people suggested in the Court-Records forum, I AM going for a perfect case report. Life is good now.
There was ONE MORE thing I wanted to talk about. I can't remember what it is though. I guess I wrote a bit too much for the first case, which took me, what, fifteen minutes? And that was without skipping any dialogue and laughing uncontrollably at every Payne Objection.

Which means I should go now. I want to play 1-2 so bad  now. NO! WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW I SAY!
