I ordered my phone line and DSL today. I should get the modem sometime next week. After talking to the representative for a while, I could come to only one conclusion:

I'M POOR!

Still, I do need internet. Maybe I can make do without food and electricity? Set up a DSL connection in a cardboard box? Eat my cell phone?

Does anyone know how to hook up a TV antenna?

I love having my own kitchen. I've been eating eggs a lot, because cooking anything else takes effort and I'm in a lazy sort of mood. I tried this thing Sarah taught me where you butter a slice of bread, cut a big hole through it and fry an egg inside it. So good.

Mom worries that I'm going to have high cholesterol.

Been at the Echo pretty much every day doing this or that. It's been a lot of work, but good. You people had better be reading.

I'd feel a lot better about not having cable if I could get Michigan Radio/NPR to come through in my apartment. WEMU is so strong around here that it pretty much eats Mich. Radio's signal. True, WEMU plays a little bit of NPR programming, but only bits and pieces stuck in between fifteen-minute jazz compositions. I just want the news, damn it!

Prof. Steve persuaded me to switch to his Computer Documentation class. Now he just needs to give me a freaking override.

I need to balance my checkbook. I'm almost afraid to.
