Another "random stuff" post

Seems like I never have any material for a substantial post anymore. Right now my life pretty much consists of work, class, work, work, class, classwork, work, class. Oh, and procrastination. But only a little bit.

I downloaded iTunes the other day because my music collection was getting kind of stale. (Yeah, I know I'm behind the times.) Downloaded the new Death Cab CD. I like. Now I'm going to have to try not to spend too much money on downloads. Still, even if I don't download a lot, this gives me a chance to consolidate my music collection, which tends to get scattered between my hard drive, my backpack, my DVD player, my car, my desk, etc. These days I have to look in at least five places for one song.

Oh, last week I saw Morgan Spurlock speak at Pease. He's a pretty funny guy. Five bucks well spent.

Even though Spurlock is all about the evils of fast food, all the Echo stories we ran about him and the fast food industry in the week leading up to it kind of made me hungry for fast food. On Tuesday, Andrew asked me to drive him to McDonald's to pick up some food to photograph for the Features section, so I did. And bought some chicken nuggets. And ate them. And they were good.

I'm way behind in my photography class. Last week was the first time I really got any work done in the darkroom. I enjoyed it. It really felt good to be doing the kind of work where you can just put on some earphones and do your thing with no regard for the time of day or for anything else in the world, really.

So far my prints have come out pretty mediocre, though. I'm going to have to figure out how to use filters and stuff to get better contrast. It'd be so much easier with Photoshop. Maybe I'll scan in some of my better ones and post them here.

work, photography, fun, school, music
