Lovely, lovely home. Happy New Year!
Went down to Boss-ton for a New Year's celebration to beat the band. Made luscious burritos with the ladies, then got all painted up, watched some Eurotrip, and stumbled off to the T to Somervill for Sean's part-ay. Some highlights include:
-The five of us rolling up (in the snow) with Emily in a shopping cart we found along the way.
-"DUDE ON THE BALCONY! ARE YOU AT SEAN'S PARTY!"
-The two cases of cheap-as-shit champagne Sean had purchased for the occasion.
-Spending most of the night drinking said champagne straight out of the bottle.
-Referring to one of the girls there as "the ho" for the entire night.
-Courtney Ryan.
-Cuddling in the chair.
-The five-way kiss at midnight.
-The other kisses after midnight (for almost all parties).
-Somehow, someway, finding a cab back to Cambridge (after calling random cab companies for like an HOUR).
-Waking up in the most comfortable bed in the world next to my two best friends (aw).
-The ride home today, during which we planned our later lives (when we all live together, someday, in a five-house compound with a common kitchen, after I become independently wealthy by building some sort of empire.)
-The four hour nap I took on the couch after getting home.
-Getting a MUCH better grade than I expected on my final film paper (which makes me a lot less embarrassed to show up at Meta's film theory class next semester).
-Watching "Some Like It Hot" this evening with my mom.
All in all, an eventful and pleasant way to begin the new year. Tomorrow it's off to the Northland (aka West West) for a dinner party with the Krasner fam, D. Sparks (yesss), and my dog. Possibly some sort of other social engagement. We'll see. I think tomorrow might also be "Plan Liz's Life Day," in which I carefully chart out the next four years or so of my life. Although I suppose I should wait for my grades to come back, which would help me figure some of that out. A list of the things I want to do:
-Finish college
-Study abroad in France
-Go to Brazil for an extended period of time
-Join the Peace Corps
-Lead an Experiment trip
-etc.
We'll see.
