Update
Well, candle prodded me to update so here it is. Strangely enough I was considering it anyway.
What's happened with me in that time? Hmm ... first things first, I guess.
I lost the baby at nearly 8 weeks. It was, and sometimes still is, traumatic but you get through it rather than over it. The logical part of me knows I'll get pregnant again, the emotional part of me both looks forward to it and dreads it in case it happens all over again. Still, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
In an odd way it brought us closer together. Guy had been missing me already and told me to "haul ass and get yourself back here!" LOL Nice idea but totally impractical at the time. It's still not truly practical as selling a house in winter is not a great move when you want as much money as possible! Neither is it much fun trying to arrange to store possessions you can't afford to ship. My parents are great and fortunately their house is big enough to accommodate the BIG things I want to keep, along with the small keepsakes that I've collected over the years. It's frustrating dealing with the utility companies who insist that I MUST have an address in the UK (Duhhhh guys .. the US is NOT in the UK, or at least it wasn't last time I looked!)
Work, oh god will I be glad to see the back of that place. Even if things don't work out with Guy and I, at least I'll be in a better position cuz I won't have to gnash my teeth any longer! :)
So, on Nov 15 I finish work, on Dec 11 Guy comes over to meet the family & some mutual friends we've known for 3-ish years and on Dec 18 we return to NY state where, hopefully, Guy will have found us somewhere to live. As he's in the Catskills I guess it's going to be pretty damned cold so I've asked my folks for thermal underwear for Xmas LOL
I'm probably going to change my email address again, as my current hotmail one is a spammer's paradise and I don't want to delete mail from friends by mistake when I do a mass byebye to bulk mail. :)
Well, too many things to do to sit here and write reams and reams of updated crap. I would have liked to make it to the Loft meet this year, but maybe next year would be a better option!
