Well, was a weekend of upgrading the house in order to sell it.
Current projects...(more a list for me to keep track of things than anything else really :) )
Sanding the Deck and putting Cedar colored sealant on it: Sanding done, Sealer is 2/3 of the way done on the top deck, sanding and sealing on the lower deck to be done this week.
Faux tin ceiling removed in the powder room, ceiling sanded and patched. needs final sanding and paint.
New kitchen flourecent has been put up, old flourecent is now hung up in the laundry room.
Measurements for the new basement carpet and tilework have been done, that will be the last thing to be put into place.
Measurments for the new countertops have been taken, hope to get an estimate on the work this week.
Painting of the kitchens and bathroom (aside form ceilings) won't be done until after the countertops are picked out.
painting of an accent wall in the basement and possible the stairwell down stairs shouldn't take much longer than a couple of evenings.
New fridge will be done after we figure out if we can shorten the counter tops to accomidate a side-by-side (partially determined on if we have to remove the almond tile backsplace to replace the counters.)
Need to call and get an estimate on disconnecting the gas fireplace in the basement. then put it up on craigs list and see if someone will buy it for the cost of the disconnect -- is a decent fireplace, in a room with the right decor and if positioned correctly, it could be very nice, but it is a bit large and is positioned oddly in our rec room. if anyone wants to purchase a ventless gas fireplace with full mantle surround, please let me know :)
Once fireplace is removed, need to replace and the basboard that was cut out to make room for the fireplace.
hmmm when I write it all down, it really doesn't look like THAT much. the goal date to get the house on the market is the 27th of april for the first open house on the 30th. I think I should be able to get my part pretty much done by the 16th of april, and then it is just waiting on the contractors. but will have to see how it all plays out.
looks like a couple more busy weeks.... :) WoW and Oblivion will have to wait a bit longer I think :P
