TO update from Julesk's previous post...
In the last three days we have:
Swapped out a king size bed for a for a queen one (carrying the beds to and from rented storage thingy).
Achieved granite counter tops (after a wee bit of a mismeasurement (one side of the main corner countertop was 2.5 inches short and the other was .75 inches short....) that resulted in the granite company cutting a new piece and bringing it back on thursday.
Chosen a color for the powder room and kitchen.
painted the powder room and kitchen (2 coats each)
installed powder room accessories (mirror, and towel rack)
re-arranged furniture
fished wiring for a new light at the bottom of our basement stairs and linked said light to the three way circuit that controls the light on the landing half way down the basement stairs.
patched the holes in the drywall from the aforementioned fishing expedition.
removed all furniture from the office, including the huge desk, etc.
primed the office (two coats) (still mourning the purple, for those that have never seen it, it is about the purple halfway down the left side of my icon)
painted the office (antique white.*sigh*.)
now just need to sand the patches after they dry, apply a second, light coat of mud to even them out, sand again,paint the patches, ceilings, and touch up trim tomorrow evening. the tile comes on tuesday for the area in front of the back door, and the carpet for the rest of the basement comes on wednesday. it will be close, but I *Think* we will have everything done in time to list the house on thursday for a sunday open house.
