Cherry Blossoms, The Zoo, Clothes and More!

So last week was a very long one. I had to help substitute for a teacher who went home for the week so I didn't get Wednesday off like I usually do (I was up to 33hrs compared to my normal 21hrs). I don't mind working more hours, but you feel run down when everyone else is having fun while you're in the classroom. The weather has been especially nice recently (mid-60s) and I wanted to go out and play :(

Luckily, I had a lot of fun during the weekend! Went to see the cherry blossoms in Yeouido Park during the evening, and Sunday afternoon, I went to Seoul Grand Park in the morning. Both were very beautiful areas, and the cherry blossoms are just amazing.

The zoo at Seoul Grand Park is fairly large. It's bigger than the Pittsburgh Zoo but definitely smaller than the Philadelphia one. It's also very cheap for admission! 3,000 won which is about $2.25. The park is in a valley surrounded by steep, wooded mountains. It is an incredibly beautiful area, and at one point I was able to see a whole flock of cranes flying around one of the mountains. It was quite amazing.

I also finally ordered some new pants. Two pairs of jeans, a pair of chinos, and a pair of pants for exercising in. I've been making a list of stores that ship to Korea since I think I'm gonna need it. I just can't wear most of my pants anymore since they look WAY too baggy :( One of my co-workers keeps saying that I look like I'm swimming in my pants.... I'm gonna look around harder for American-size stores. I heard there are some around so that might make things a bit easier. I don't think I'll ever be able to shop in Korean stores though. Even if I could get down to their sizes, I'm tall and curvy, something that Korean girls don't really seem to be... I heard getting custom clothes is fairly cheap too. I want to learn a lot more Korean before I even attempt to do that though.

In other news, I've gotten a few more hair accessories! I'll take pictures and post them when I have time. Everything is so cute here! It's nice to feel girlie <3 I just wish I had more friends as passionate about cute things and accessories as I am! I also bought Hello Kitty morning bread the other day! What a great way to start your morning!

I found Golden Curry at the grocery store last week, so I will be making that for dinner the moment I buy a measuring cup, bowls, and some cooking utensils... There are still quite a few things I need to get. Good thing I got paid the other day.
