After a long, strange conversation, Becky, Ashton, and I ended up relating Buffy the Vampire Slayer to the immune system. This started because of the idea of viruses as creepy because they're like robots, not really alive exactly, and Ashton said "They don't have souls," so they became the vampires. Buffy is a white blood cell. Angel is a virus with a soul, and Spike is a virus that has been genetically engineered and now attacks other viruses. Giles is a lymph node. Most of the other characters are red blood cells, though I think of Xander as possibly a sickle cell, as he is useless. :P Anya is a beneficial bacteria.
And Faith? Faith, who is a slayer-turned-bad? She's a white blood cell that attacks the body. She's an autoimmune disorder.
Faith is lupus.
