...Quoted directly from the ever-appearing (and ever-repeating that phrase about anything Star Wars) Rick McCallum, producer for the Star Wars prequels, and the 1997 Special Editions of the original trilogy.
On Monday, May 16th, I saw all six Star Wars films in release order (IV-VI, I-III) at the UCI Empire cinema in Leicester Square, London. About 1,330 people were in the auditorium, and it was insane. I'd never seen the original trilogy on the big screen, so that was a treat for me, and seeing TPM and AotC in full cinematic glory again was very nice indeed.
But it was all leading up to the big one, to the final installment in the saga... Revenge of the Sith.
RotS was absolutely incredible. It was introduced by McCallum, Ian McDiarmid, Hayden Christensen, and the Jedi Master himself, George Lucas. Everyone in the room went crazy for each one of them, but especially for Lucas. Many people had to be shushed by the majority, because they were talking over George, obviously excited beyond reason.
RotS ties up all the loose ends that I can easily think of, and really is a credit to Star Wars. Apart from being loaded with Force usage and lightsabers, it's fucking hilarious to boot. So many nods to the fans in it, which really restored my respect for Lucas.
Artoo is so cool, and the film really, really glues all six together nicely. See this movie as soon as you possibly can - it's absolutely not to be missed!
Oh, and I'm also in love with someone (no, not with Lucas or Hayden ;)) - I'll eventually give details about that, but not just yet, sorry. ^^ (Ian, behave, or I'll get out the pruning shears. I mean it. :p)
