Castle has been surprisingly (or maybe not, because Nathan Fillion) fannish. The two comic book plots, and we had a steampunk ep as well.

None whatsoever. The Nationals did manage a third place finish in the NL East which wasn't a bad feat in that division. Mostly amused watching my Red Sox friends howl their displeasure at their meltdown.
