New community: dc_ficfinders - Missing that Batman ficlet that's driving you nuts? Who wrote that Roy AU with the twist ending you didn't bookmark? At least fic is slightly easier to hunt for than the old Borders days of "I think it had a blue cover and the title started with The". Um, right. The sad thing is I had the reputation for finding those books. At least one regular patron said to me "We'll ask her. She can find anything." I turned several shades of pink at that statement. Alas I couldn't keep that job, much as I liked those aspects.
melyanna has posted the final chapters of her West Wing/Stargate: Atlantis crossover "Revelation" in her own journal. She has reposted the previous story in that verse "Pacific Rim" at west_gate. She also ponders the nature of crossovers and why some work and some wouldn't. You need similarities but you need points of interconnectness for lack of a better term. When the other world's puzzle pieces mythos can connect somehow with the other side and mostly fit. X-Files & Stargate would seemingly fit, until you start looking at their rather different attitudes towards aliens. Can you imagine Mulder's reaction to an Asgard for example? On the other hand, I've mentioned how much Goa'ulds remind me of the Lords of Fate/Chaos in the DCU.
