Hmm...
Finally getting around to reading minisinoo's X-men novel Grail. I'm horrible at feedback, especially for longer stories, for which I apologize to the writers on my flist who write their well-written behemoths. I've had to find ways to offload them to the laptop and/or PDA to actually read anything. (If I could just get Wordsmith to synch properly anyway...) Anyway, I was reading the description of the Phoenix force again and noticing a similarity to the Ascended in the Stargate universe, existing as energy in their purest form. Of course you don't have to die to Ascend... and the Phoenix would laugh her butt off at the "don't interfere" dictum of the Ascended.
