To AU or not to AU is not a question, but a moral imperative

I must be one of the few (and the somewhat sane) fans to avoid fandomhigh. I barely have enough concentration right now to deal with lightning_war stuff, much less get sucked into another game. Even if I was reading the Doctor's quantum physics lecture and hearing Rodney's anguished "Not that movie again!" But maybe I've watched "Before I Sleep" a few too many times. (With that subject line, I'm now picturing Rodney and/or John in a version of "Real Genius". Ow! Go away!) I actually only have three episodes left of the first season of Atlantis to watch, before catching up with second season. I tried hard to watch the rest in order. I'm sure there will be fic eventually...

Enjoying two Atlantis related AUs out there: langford_u (Stargate in a university setting) and spygate (Atlantis as spies), mostly because of the Sheppard/Weir stories. I was vastly amused because langford_u is exactly how I pictured John Sheppard as a math prof -- Indiana Jones type with girls in droves. Poor John. Some of us might have even endured calculus for him.

aus, stargate: atlantis
