This message is to inform you that there will a class this evening at six bells in the first watch, to be held on top of the Hoover dormitory. [So she's trying to teach her students to keep time in Navy terms. She can't help it.] You will not require the books I assigned. I advise you bring your star charts, for I will quiz you on finding the location of a certain galaxy, but if you believe yourselves capable of doing it from memory, you are welcome to try.
The rest of you-- while the quiz will not be applicable, I encourage you to join us. I have spyglasses for those who do not have their own. Eleven o'clock at night is the hour, for those unacquainted with the bell system.
