I'd rather be sleeping

I hate being tired.  I mean, at least I understand why I'm tired -- my daily schedule for the past two weeks has been a pretty constant grind, so it's not like I'm dealing with this mystery fatigue.  Lately my schedule has been a little something like this:

7:30 -- Wake up, take Darwin out, feed Darwin.
8:00 -- Feed me, work on UT
8:30 -- Prep for workout (or keep working on UT, depending on how well it's going)
Anywhere between 9:00 to 9:15 -- Leave for workout with Darwin
9:30-10:45 -- Workout
11:15 -- Home, light housekeeping
12:00'ish -- Lunch
12:00-1:00 -- Try to work more on UT (usually end up doing more light housekeeping)
1:00-5:00 -- Work on bathroom remodeling (I hate, hate, HAAATE taking down wallpaper, OMG)
5:00 -- Start dinner  (note that "shower" hasn't been included yet)

Sometime after I start dinner, I sneak in the bathroom and grab a quick shower.  Then I eat and try to ignore the fact that my back has a knot in it the size of Alaska.  Ideally, I'd try to work on UT from dinner until bed (ie: RIGHT NOW), but I'm so damn tired that I just don't want to. And I know that when I wake up in the morning, my legs and butt and back are going to be stiff from standing in one place peeling away the bathroom wallpaper (to say nothing of my right hand -- holy god, if I had any doubt that what's going on in my knuckles isn't arthritis, taking down this wallpaper is doing a fine job of convincing me).

So that's that.

In other news, Bronte's back to acting like weird, sick hermit-kitty again, so when I take Darwin in to have his stitches removed tomorrow (yay!), I will ask about another follow-up for her.  She was doing her best when she was on the steroids and the antibiotic, but being on just the antibiotic doesn't seem to be doing much for her.  I may start up the supplements again and see if it still makes her vomit.

In other-OTHER news, I have been getting the itch to teach again.  However, since I'd rather chew glass than go back to teaching at the college, I've looked into working part-time at a learning center (think Sylvan).  The good news is that of the four resumes I sent out, I heard back from three places within twenty-four hours, and have two interviews next week.  I may possibly have three interviews, if I give one place a ring back (their situation was a little different from the other two places, dealing more with the really young kids who are having trouble in school, and... that might be a little outside my comfort zone).  I have also contacted a local prep school about doing some sub work.  This is actually a school I visited upon my return from DC.  I'd sent the headmaster my resume, and she wanted to talk with me (even though they didn't have any positions available).  We had a nice chat, and she told me to keep in touch, which I did, for a while.  The other day I dropped her a little note inquiring about substitute work, and mentioning that I understood if she didn't remember me, since it was four years ago that we last spoke.

Guess what?  She remembered me. :D

So there might be a little sub work at the posh private school because I am an intellectual snob, shut up.

Mostly I'm looking forward to actually DOING something and contributing.  And part-time work will allow me time to spend with Darwin and work on UT (once the bathroom is finished -- the bathroom is currently devouring my soul), so I'll stop feeling like I wasted two years of my life getting that fancy degree.

There.  All caught up with my life.  Now if I could just find time to sit down and watch my saved episodes of "Heroes"....

...

There's a review waiting for me at MMO.  If it's someone bitching to me about OGAM, there is a slight possibility I will cry.  I am just that tired.

....

Yay!  It's love for "Extracurricular Activities."  Huzzah!
